PHILOSOPHY
My goal is to be a partner with my families to create a healthy lifestyle for themselves and their children that prevents illnesses as much as possible and allows the child to achieve their full potential. Health Care should be noninvasive and supportive to the individual. The body has an innate ability to heal and by providing the right diagnosis and treatment plan, harsh medications with potential side effects can be avoided. When antibiotics and conventional medications are necessary, testing with cultures is provided to pick the most suitable medication. Hair testing as well as labs are offered as a comprehensive approach to discovering the cause of the problem. By strengthening the immune system and addressing digestion through nutrition evaluation, the child can avoid the revolving door of one illness after the next.
HOMEOPATHY
What is homeopathy? Homeopathy is recognized world wide as an effective system of medicine that assists our body's natural tendency to heal itself. It was developed in the late 1700s by a German doctor, Samuel Hahnemann, and a hospital named after this doctor still stands today in Philadelphia, PA. Homeopathy is highly effective in children as well as adults. As a skilled practitioner, I use homeopathy as one of my modalities to treat health problems and restore balance and health to the individual.
HERBS
Herbs have been used for centuries and can be safely used with children under the proper guidance of a trained medical professional - Julie Leader PNP-BC. It is important to have the child examined in my office and to discuss options. I believe in empowering parents to use first aid and routine herbs and homeopathy, and can monitor the child for effects.
PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE
Preventative medicine is the cornerstone of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. It gives a baseline and can prevent potential problems from developing in the future. It is essential to monitor children's growth and development and to encourage a program based on wellness. Illness are dealt with as they occur, and followup is again focused on prevention.
SPECIFIC HEALTH PROBLEMS
Any health problem can be dealt with and improved by the modalities employed by Julie Leader PNP-BC. Has your child been diagnosed with allergies asthma or ADHD and prescribed conventional drugs? Please bring your child in for an evaluation and see what alternative treatments can do with no side effects. HAIR ANALYSIS is just one of the tests done to uncover the potential heavy metal toxicities and mineral toxicities or deficiencies that may be the culprit in the health problem. Natural chelation is provided to remove these toxicities.
NUTRITION
Ms. Leader works with children and families to evaluate nutrition problems that may be causing illness and lowering immunity. We involve the whole family! The children learn through fun games and activities, and become very knowledgeable about healthy nutrition and actually want to make changes when they learn in this manner. Everyone benefits, but especially your child!
